What we store about you, and why.
Who is responsible
Stay Wild AB, organisation number 559179-2402, Skäpperöd 8404, 275 68 Vollsjö. Questions about your data go to [email protected] or 073-850 60 90.
When you fill in a form
If you send an enquiry or a question, we save what you wrote: email address, mobile number, what you want to do, roughly when, how many you are, the group's experience level, and whatever you write in the message. We also save the IP address the enquiry came from, to stop spam.
We use the details to reply to you and to put together a proposal. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling contact from people who get in touch. Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted after one year.
If you book a trip we need more: name, phone number, emergency contact, and sometimes allergies or medications the guide needs to know about. That information is needed to run the trip safely and is kept as long as accounting law requires, that is seven years for anything related to payment.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Then we save your email address and when you signed up, until you unsubscribe. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe.
Cookies and local storage
The site doesn't set any cookies. The only thing saved in your browser is what the site needs to work: the cart in the shop, and your answer if we ever ask about visitor statistics. That stays local on your device and is never sent to us.
If you pay in the checkout, card details are handled by Stripe, which sets the cookies needed to process the payment and detect fraud. Card details never pass through our server.
We currently don't track any visits. If we start, we'll ask first. Nothing is tracked before you say yes, and saying no changes nothing about how the site works.
Who gets to see the data
The guide leading your trip gets what they need to run it. Otherwise, data is only shared with suppliers we have to use for the trip to happen, accommodation, local partners, payment providers, and authorities when the law requires it. We never sell data on.
On trips outside the EU we sometimes need to share name and passport details with local operators and authorities. We always tell you in advance when this applies to your trip.
Your rights
You have the right to know what we've stored about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted when we no longer need it. You can object to how we process your data and request that it be moved elsewhere. Get in touch and we'll sort it, usually within a week.
If you think we're handling your data wrong, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, imy.se.
Changes
If we change something that matters, we'll update this page, and if the change requires your consent, we'll ask first. This page was last updated in August 2026.
